18-09-2009 -  Søren leaves Meridian

Søren Steffensen has left Meridian for various personal reasons.

The band regrets his decision, but the split was amicably and as founding member, Søren will always be part of the Meridian family.
"Thank You for your contribution for the past four years, and good luck in your future endeavours".

A new man on the guitar is found in Steffan Pedersen, who's currently working hard on the setlist, - and the band will be ready to hit the stage very soon. - Welcome Steffan!

05-06-2009 -  Studio report 3

A few weeks has gone since last time. The rhythm guitars are done, and Lars came by for a week and did the vocals. Lately some guitar melodies and solos has been added, and now we're only two solos from finishing the recording.

At the same time Johnni has started mixing the finished tracks.

Part three and four of the video diary is now up on youtube. More episodes containing vocals and more guitarwork is on its way.

13-05-2009 -  Studio report 2

The bass was recorded in three nights last week, and after some time off during the weekend, the band is now back working on the guitars. Everything is going great (ahead of schedule) and the rhythm guitars should be done in a few days. Lars will come by next weekend, and then it's singing time!

04-05-2009 -  Studio report

We're now four days into the recording and everything is great. Klaus "the killer" Kristensen, put down the drums in just two days (including a couple of first takes!). - Next up is bass.

03-05-2009 -  "The Blue Box"

This month Meridian has been choosen by Bandbase.dk to recieve "Den Blå Boks". A blue box filled with Sennheiser microphones. http://www.sennheiserbluezone.dk/DenBlaaBox/

This means that the Meridian HQ is now all ready for recording. The band will record five new melodic metal smash hits, which will be released on a demo EP later this summer.

The Meridian HQ studio is almost finished, and the band will start recording it's new demo in may.

The band is playing live at Holsted MC, 9/4-2009, together with the band Freak Nation (featuring former member Torben Atzen on guitar).

09-01-2009 -  Meridian '09

So now it's 2009, and the band is very excited about a lot of new activities this year.

The songwriting is going great, and as promised, there's some exciting new melodic metal coming out of it.

The band is currently building it's own studio, and plan to record a handfull of new songs during the spring. These should end up on a new demo cd early in the summer.

And finally, - the band is working hard to get some gigs in the calendar.

The band wants to express a big welcome to the Meridian family to Johnni Streeter who has joined the band on guitar.

The lineup is now complete again and the band is working on new material.
